I'm sitting at a window seat drinking coffee in a cafe. Across the road is the theatre in which I'm about to see the musical Blood Brothers. Passing people are rugged up against what I am guessing is about 8 degrees. The constant flow of black cabs and double decker buses a constant reminder as to where I am.
Best news of the day - haven't been lost once! Trained in and crossed the Thames at Westminster as Big Ben struck 11.
I re did the walk of the high spots, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, St James Park (or is that gardens?), the palace (Lizzie in according to the flag), Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, St Martins in the Fields and Covent Garden markets.
Was disappointed not to hear buskers playing the Helen tune - Pachabel's Canon which I have experienced my previous two visits. Picked up a few trinkets to remind me of my visit. Surprise, surprise! I hope to plot my return route now so I don't ruin my record of the day. Until later. BTW - lovin iPad and free wifi!
Now at home, the journey to which went without a hitch! The show - excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed. Tonight marks the half way mark of my stay in London. A family day of mass and back to Whitton for gammon - another new experience. Happy Easter to all readers.
